I'd agree.
The first full-length Mithras album in 9 years is better than their last but not better than their best (World Beyond the Veil)

I'd agree.
Boo, Hiss.
Boris and Endon have recorded an EP together that they released on casssette for free at their tokyo shows. It's coming out on vinyl next month! One side was written by Boris and the other side by Endon, this teaser is definitely from the Boris side:
Some full songs have been ripped and put on youtube but the quality isn't great.
Endon are fucking rad as hell. Excited to hear more from them.
Boo, Hiss.
first quarter recommends:
Wolfheart - Tyhjyys(Great band by a underrated and overlooked figure in extreme metal, Tuomas Saukkonen (Before the Dawn / Black Sun Aeon), this might be their breakout album, a mix of Opeth's epicness with Metallica's muscular riffs and direct riff structures)
Evocation – The Shadow Archetype (Great Swedish metal band that should rightfully get their critical due with this one, a throwback without being a throwback if that makes sense, incredibly brutal)
Mors Principium Est – Embers of a Dying World (They've really freshened up their sound on this album, the addition of a new guitarist two albums ago really fueled a new creative direction).
I wrote up full reviews for those here if you're interested : https://themetalpigeon.com/2017/03/2...w-music-march/
