As far as cheap beer goes, the only worthy one is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

I have no beef with PBR. As far as cheap beer goes it's quite palatable, but only for when you can't afford better.

Cheap beer is the only cheap alcoholic thing I'd put in my body anymore, though. After a couple particularly nasty nights/mornings, I will never touch or look at Ezra Brooks bourbon ever again. So you can get 1.75L for the same price as a fifth of Wild Turkey or less. Not worth it.

As for beer there's too many micros up here to list, but I'm a big fan of Mac n' Jacks, most of the stuff I've had by Deshuttes Brewery (Mirror Pond, Black Butte Porter) and pretty much any winter beer (snowcap on tap is sex.) As far as macro I'll drink pretty much anything, but the ones I'll go for are Raineer and Amber Bock.

Wine is my favorite, preferably Shiraz or Merlot. I just got a wine rack last week and I'm slowly filling it up, though I blacked out twice last weekend and woke up to a wine rack that was missing a couple bottles I don't remember drinking. According to my roomate I threw my Viewtiful Joe bobblehead against the stove last friday night. It broke, needless to say.

Vodka is my #2 choice. Cape Codders & White Russians are probably my two favorite mixed drinks. Do people all over know what a Cape Codder is or is that an east coast thing?

Jager is great for nights when you are carrying a flask.

I drink beer for the taste, generally, not to get drunk. I usually stick to New England beers like Smuttynose, Harpoon, Long Trail, Sam Adams, Shipyard, Magic Hat, etc. Those that say American beer sucks are fools. Its just the popular ones that suck.
