I'm half expecting Nintendo to announce a Waluigi game. Shadow's actually a good character though, and this should be fun, or at least a welcome change for the current Sonic products. This looks a lot like the opening SA 2 level for Sonic, so it'll definitely be fun.

Eh, after watching the video it looks like the same crap. Like they found a way to make the sonic levels have the robot shooting levels within them. I'm sick of the engine...the graphics look exactly the same as Sonic Adventure. MAKE A REAL SONIC GAME!! HOW FUCKING HARD IS THAT!? 2D game, 3D graphics. Sonic Adventure was fun, but no more please. SA, SA2, SH, and this look like they could all be the same damn game. Sonic is almost at Mario levels or whoreness, but atleast Mario has been in some decent games lately. I miss thinking sonic was cool...mehh...

There's an 8MB trailer at IGN. The game looks good but not great.
Under the Sega restructuring I'm curious if this is being made by Iizuka's GE Sega Studio USA or Naka's GE Dept. #3. Anyone know? I'm guessing Iizuka's team.
I have not, nor will I ever, purchase any game with Waluigi in it. And I love the Wario games. Waluigi is crap.
Anyway, I don't like the gun because it looks like something the marketing department made them put in to try to shake the "kiddie" image. They might as well have given him bling, or gold teeth.
There's also the whole chose to be a hero or villian thing. It feels like something designed completely by PR people, but the underlying gameplay still could be good. Wait and see on this one.

Heroes was the nail in the coffin. Personally I think it's hilarious that, watching that video, both Adventure and Adventure 2 wind up looking more impressive than Heroes.

I thought that Shadow having his own game would have some promise since he's a pretty cool character but this gun thing just flushed that promise down the toilet.
The dude should be using his speed like Sonic and maybe even some shoe gimmicks/power ups, not some lame gun which doesn't even make sense for a hedgehog character (a robot character yeah).

No, no, and no. Sega doesn't get a penny from me until I see a Sonic-only Sonic game. I don't want any old hedgehog, and I don't want one with a gun, unless he is holding it to the head of a Sega exec.
Actually, if you play the Saturn Sonic collection, you can see a lot of old artwork from the days of the first two games, and honestly, they took a much more light-hearted tone with him than anything else. Perhaps the way he was presented here was edgier, but judging from old artwork and animation, he was not originally intended to be so, but more whimsical.
