Thunderbird 1.0 vs Outlook, which is better and why?

im looking to use an email clinet for my Yahoo mail, and i was wondering what do you guys recommend? thunderbird or outlook? pro cons of both? which do you prefer and why? also any other email clients i should consider? thanks!

The only benefit TB has over OE/Outlook is the builtin junk filter...

TB is legally free. Outlook, not so much.

i just realized that TB has extensions like Firefox...sweet!

If you're just checking e-mail, you don't really need Outlook. Outlook's a great program, but for the price you'll want to use at least some of its other features. Try Thunderbird.
