I don't think you're the only one who cares - that game's always hailed as the Bionic Commando sequel we never got.

As for this thread, play Blaster Master. Easily one of the very best NES 3rd party games.

  5. I'm going to get to every game in this thread eventually.

Plok: Tried it this morning, didn't really do much for me. Reminds me a little of Zool somehow, and that's not a very good thing. Got kinda bored in the first island and I don't think I'm going to go back to it.

Do Re Mi Fantasy: This game is awesome. Really well-designed in every way. It's awfully easy, but I have to assume those two Japanese things at the beginning were a difficulty select, and this could be fixed. I just finished the second stage and will probably play this all the way through between now. Great graphics and gameplay, really charming game. I like this a lot.

There are so many games in this last that I could play this shit for months. I think after Do Re Mi Fantasy I'll be playing Hagane. I really liked what I played of it but for some reason never played more.

    I second the reccomendation.
I'm sure all of my favorite platformers were mentioned here already. Two you guys missed, though...
    Dynamite Headdy and Astal.

  7. Ah yes, Gish, that's definitely a unique platformer. The sumo bonus stuff is nice as well. Tempo is a good 32X one. There was also a Game Gear version as well.

Never played the former, but Astal rocks. I always found the game itself to be simplistic and not that interesting, but it was visually wonderful. I like to play through it again every now and then, when I have the Saturn out.

Problem was, I played Astal way after it came out. It might have been charming or impressive in 1995, but I was fairly bored by it. Shelved after one playthrough.

  10. I still have my clash at demon head cart. I liked battle of olympus too.

    Heres some of my fav's

    Comix Zone(genesis_
    Legend of the mystical ninja(snes)
    Kid nikki the radical ninja(nes)
    Batman(nes)
The first ninja turtle game on the nes
    Keith Courage(tg-16)
    Legendary Axe(tg-16)
    Bloody wolf(tg-16)

    I'll think of more later
