The best way to fight against stuff like this is to tow the line and be a good person. It isn't the most instantly gratifying way to approach it, but if we act as responsible people, and raise our kids in the right way, we will ensure these savages don't run things when we are dead.

Replace "the passion" with "Ring Two" and increase reading and writing comprehension by about 10 fold, and you have the original post in this thread.Originally Posted by Blacklight85

I remember there was this one guy, friends with my college professor, getting up in arms because some kids left one beer bottle on his lawn. He said the world was going to hell in a handbasket because young punks are roaming the streets. My professor told the guy: Look, if you can't take a beer bottle on your lawn every now and again you should probably move neighbourhoods. Back in their day kids used to give wedgies, swirlies, bring knives to school, wear hats in school and all of this. Nowadays you can't wear hats in fear of being affiliated with a gang, chains and expressive clothing isn't allowed for fear of it being used as weapons, and he thinks things are getting worse?
Things are not getting worse, they're about the same as they've always been. Sometimes, bullying and censoring to the point of ridiculousness.
I know your point was more about shitty parenting, but I just thought I'd go off on a little rant too.
See, this was a nice sentiment up and until you said the term "bash the mothers head in and then..."Originally Posted by Blacklight85
You're upset with her for bringing the kids to a gory movie, yet you'd have no reservation, in this scenario, about bashing in their mothers head. That's pretty hypocritical bullshit logic you've got working there.

I thought it was stupid , but maybe she she didnt see any wrong in it honestly. Maybe she was not brought up like you and me or anyone else. The "smart" person would befriend her , and tell her why it might not be a good idea and keep on going. Never to look down on her or anyone because of a mistake they made.
Honestly to hear people talk about one persons mistakes and think they have a say so who should and should not have children is the most idiotic thing I have read in a while.
Dont be a robot, be human.

shut up andrew. TNL is not the place for logic.
Even though The Ring Two is PG-13 rated, the fact that it's a HORROR movie bears more importance- it may not have 8,000 metric tons of blood and guts flying all over the place but it can still be disturbing. Those kids should've been seeing something like Ice Princess or Robots instead. Hell, even Ocean's Twelve (itself also PG-13, but not scary) would be better.
I would not let kids see The Passion of the Christ either. The movie has its point, but there are other movies relevant to Jesus' crucifixion that would be more family-friendly, such as some made for TV ones that are bound to air soon.
Movie theaters should forbid babies or young children from coming in to PG-13 or R rated movies after 6 PM. Do you pay $10 to listen to kids screaming or babies crying? I do not think so.
There should be a Page Usher button on your armrest or something.![]()
