Of course the bigger news here with In The Groove 2 is how Andamiro is helping Roxor produce a cabinet for the arcade version that is far too expensive for most arcade operators to buy so that they can continue to release the boards on the cheap for arcade operators to place in Konami DDR cabinets so that they can get the heat off their backs.
I'n now playing ITG at around the 10 and 11 foot level and now the game kicks ass. 8s and 9s on ITG, eh, I dunno. I'd rather just play DDR with better music and more creative step design. But I love how hard this game gets.
ITG (and PIUfor that matter) suffers from generic step design though. Really, nothing I've seen in either game can come close to Tsugaru, V, Radical Faith or Conga Feeling double in terms of step design.
I still don't think I like mines, although I don't turn them off.
And an arcade here has a PIU:ITG2 cabinet and it's really nice. Big screen, good sound, I was impressed.
