$88.00 for TI-89 at Circuit City

I went to circuit city yesterday. They have marked down their TI-89 calcs to 88 bucks. The TI-89 is one of the best TIs you can get and normally retails at above 150.

Oh fuck me I just bought one a couple of months ago for $180. Oh well, I can't say I really regret it, seeing as how I can typed up my notes on my computer, send em to my calc, and look at them during math and chemistry tests. Seems almost sacriligious that I payed so much now

  8. 2 questions while i consider the upgrade. Does it have a real equation solver, and can it solve symbolically?

    i.e. you give it "1=x/y"
and you tell it to solve for 'y' and it says "y=x"

Yes it can, this calculator can do a lot more stuff as well. You can download the Manual at amazon and check out the other features.
Scroll down till you see "View the product manual [Download: PDF, 6MB]"
The thing you are talking about can be found in chapter 3.
