Jack Bauer is the leading cause of death amongst men from the Middle East.

Too bad 2084 would be a better game than how the actual 24 game ended up being. The fundamental problem is that you spend a lot of the game playing as Jack Bauer... aka God. As such, the auto-aiming is way too accurate and you have to walk into enemy fire to get hit by it. The car chase sequences feel like ass (although they did emulate 24's LA fairly well by having a distinct lack of gridlock), and the tech 'minigames' are just there.

The game does match the shows look and feel, though. It really does feel like part of the series' universe (...and it is). 24 also has some of the best voice acting in any videogame (dur?)... in the cutscenes, anyway. The in-game delievery is much more uneven.

So... bleh. Fans of the series should probably give it a rent. The game plays quick (almost goes out of its way to not piss you off... until the 'avoid the popo' segments, anyway), as they'll mark out to all of the random bits in the game that only a Bauerite would care about. For TNL? Pass.

  3. What are the story revelations in the game? I must know! Who sent that bitch to kill Palmer??

Jack Bauer was never addicted to heroin. Heroin was addicted to Jack Bauer.
