Most rich, affluent areas are pretty boring. Beverly Hills isnt because its close to Hollywood but theres not much to do in BH all the same.
That's a picture of my baby.

Now imagine Beverly Hills in Tom DeLay's district, in the heart of the Bible Belt. Minus the Hollywood.Originally Posted by diffusionx

The bible belt wouldn't be that bad if not for all the christians and druggies.
Newsflash IronPlant: there's a lot of druggies everywhere. Its just that theyre not stealing $70 from you in other places.
I work as a Graphic Designer at the Avedis Zildjian Cymbal Company. Located in Norwell MA. Pretty sweet job. I do most of their advertising, brochures, and some web stuff. The perks are great, I get to photograph drummers a lot, and get to go to all the shows in the area for free, with photo/backstage passes.
It's a much smaller company than everyone thinks it is, for example, the art department consists of me, and my boss. Hopefully we'll be getting some more help, we barely send anything out to outside design studios anymore.
I've been there about 2 years now, my first "real" job after college. I would like to leave and get some more experience in the design world, but it's just too sweet of a job to leave right now.
I know, I'm just sayen.Originally Posted by diffusionx

My friend is pitching a complete re-design of Sabian Symbols website and brand. He did it as a school project (a good job) and his internship boss told him to pitch it to them after seeing it. So he's putting together a pitch. He's asking for $8,000 and a drum sponsorship. If all works out he'll be hired on, as the work load is huge (as you may know, Sabian has a brochure and book with every new drum line it releases).
