Hmmm....you sure about that tax credit? The point of the Roth IRA that you place taxed income in it, but it can grow tax-free. Your deposits shouldn't get you a credit.

I know Roths are untaxable, but there's some sort of tax credit that goes into effect if you sock away x amount into retirement savings provided you make under y amount. My dad let me know about it and I made sure I followed his advice to the letter, he's very well-educated on money matters so I trust he knows what he's talking about.

I got my refund. It went towards my X360 and new Pumas. I'm ballin' now.

Got mine about two weeks ago.

Got back $1,033 from the fed - went towards bills and a few debts from people.

Got back $140 from NJ State. - also went towards things (Courts).

Rachel and I did our taxes around mid-January. We each claimed a child so we got a little over $8000 combined.

I figured my sister's for her; at first she was apprehensive about me doing it since she made more money than I did, and that would make me angry. No, what angers me more are the scummy ignorant fucks that come to this office, make less than $10k a year, and can still afford to live on their own while I have to continue to be a fucking worthless tit-sucker at the parent's house.
