That's a good rule of thumb, and few games violate it. Tetris is the only one that I can think of off-hand, although Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and Super Mario Bros. could also fit that bill.

I think it is the best Kurt Russel from Escape from NY/LA impression I've heard, but it has no emotion or depth. If you buy into the gravely tough guy voice, I guess it isn't that bad.Originally Posted by Chux

I liked him oodles more in MGS1 than 2. Haven't played 3 yet. 2 left a sour, sour taste in my mouth.
3 is so fucking good it makes part 2 good. Seriously, you need to play part 3, don't let how much part 2 sucked ruin it for you.
Well that's the idea for Snake, he's not supposed to get swept up in emotions.Originally Posted by Master

If you can't have good English voices, either keep the originals or delete them. Silence is better than shitty English voicework. Anyhow, I usually hit the Start button to skip cutscenes after having seen them once before.Originally Posted by EvilMog007
What's really foul is when the ingame voice acting from a Japanese version of the game is changed to something worse for an English-speaking one. Remember "Your Dog Will Suffer" from Mobile Light Force 2? UGH. That's not even close to being funny- it's just absolutely horrible.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
LOL @ all the Sonic Adventure 2 hate. I hated that game when it came out and this board was so irate over my hate towards it. Glad to see I'm not the only one anymore.

The really sad thing is that Sonic Adventure 2 was the game used to commemorate Sonic's 10th anniversary.
I really do believe there will never be a good Sonic game, ever again. Sonic Team is now among the most worthless teams in the industry.
