There really isn't any way to do it without putting in a new video card. Any kind of splitter would just output the same signal to multiple monitors.
My home PC supports dual screen desktop with one monitor connected to the digital output, the other to standard VGA cable (analog or whatever).
I want my work PC to have dual screen desktop, but funds are limited. Does anyone know of any good/cheap ways of doing this- preferrably without a new videocard?
I'm talking about spanning my desktop over two screens- not splitting my monitor signal.
You should be able to find a cheap PCI videocard, pop it in and tweak some settings and get it working.
Best resource for info, as what works and what doesn't..
