$12.99 should be the everyday price on UMD movies. I'd buy some for that. Screw $20.
Korly-"Everyone here is an asshole, SURPRISE!"

  2. The most I'd ever pay is $4.99. Anything more than that, and I'd rather just pay $15 and watch it on a 55" HDTV with DD or DTS.

  3. Meh, I was having more fun talking about Commando....

  4. I can't think of any movie I'd buy on UMD. TV shows seem to make more sense for this format, but those fit nicely on the Memory Stick. Once I save money for a big card I'm gonna put some Jem episodes, Top Gear episodes, Kylie videos, and scat clips on it and be in heaven where ever I go. *hugs psp*

  6. I swear I saw the Spiderman 2 UMD at Gamestop last week for $39.99! Ack. That's just pure evil.

Anyways, considering they have almost no features they should be at least $5-10 less than a new to market DVD. I am kinda tempted to buy House of Flying Daggers though as I'm a sucker for Crouching Tiger'esque action, plus I have never seen it. Mmmmm. Nah, I think that money will be better spent on a game. 99% of my PSP video will be downloaded, 1% will be UMD. What they need to do is start releasing some Adult Swim content, you could fit a ton of Space Ghost, Aqua Teens or Home Movies on one little UMD.

They don't even have scene selection screens. Or, at least, Spiderman 2 doesn't.

Given the total lack of features and the limited use (PSP only), the UMD flicks should be $10 max.

    Simple Arnold Formula

    1) Piss Arnold Off
    2) Insert corny Arnold phrase
3a) Boom, whack, flex, flex, argh, ack
    3b) Die
    4) Show Arnold in aftermath, with only a scratch after taking out 1000's of trained militants.
I fail to see the problem.

  9. So, I can go ahead and assume that by 2006 there won't be any more UMD movie releases, correct?

  10. I actually think what should be done is what Bandai is doing with some of their anime content in Japan - for a few bucks beyond the regular DVD package, you get a DVD + UMD package.
