Yeah, cool looking, but what games would there be to play on it? If such a thing was real, I imagine they'd sell roughly 3 of them.
http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000463042337/So it goes without saying that these pics of a supposed portable GameCube are more likely a concept design than anything based in physical reality. But still — it would be kinda hot, so we pass it on to you. Even if when closed, it looks way too eerily like an old Walkman (peep on for the closed pic).
That looks HOT!
Give it gba compatability, and use the same gc discs and it'd probably do ok.
It looks awful and awkward.
uh, gamecube games, I'd imagine.Originally Posted by Grave

Well, at least the d-pad is bigger. I do love the massive screen on that thing, and the laptop-esque design. It'll be the first time in a decade that we'll be able to play an official portable version of a current system. Hopefully the battery life is better than the Nomad's.

If Nintendo can somehow make a portable Gamecube, then it will benefit them in terms of third-party support because the tools to make the portable Gamecube games have already been made and optimized (even if third parties haven't developed Gamecube games lately). Hell, those tools could probably be obtained at a huge discount due to the sorry current state of the Gamecube.

Someone enlighten me what all that data readout crap and play/stop controls and stuff on the outside of the cover are needed for because I'm lost. Not only is this "likely a concept design", it's a shitty amateur one too.
It's a portable dynamo! It's a thumb workout! It's more than your mouth can handle in one sitting!
