How about you start some discussion first?
I don't see a problem, anyway. I only play the good ones. That said, the last racing game I bought was PGR2 and the next I buy will probably be Forza. Possibly Burnout 3.
The saturation and flooding of racing games, please discuss!
The only real saturation of the genre has been in shitty, budget games that aren't worth 10 cents. The full-priced ones are usually quality, and worth the cash, especially when you factor in good online play.

i am a huge Gran Turismo 4 fan and still love the series till this very day, but because i have been playing nothing but racing games prior to that such as Burnout2/3, Project Gotham 2,Outrun2(love it), Wipeout Pure(which came out recently), Ridge Racers on the PSP, Midnight Club 3, Forza(on the way)....these are all recent games, the older names escape me. anyways my point is the flooding of racing games lately is making me apprecite the racing genre less and less everyday!

Well, if you play EVERY racer available, you're more likely to get tired of it. I prefer to pick and choose which ones to play. I go with whatever I feel like at a given time, and if I think I've missed anything important, I'll go back and play it at a later date. Hell, if I played all of them, I doubt I'd be able to tell one from the other. After a while, they'd likely just gel into one big mental blur.

This thread reminds me that I have to pickup f-zero gx for the cube...
nocturne:"I view terrorists as freedom fighters."
now F-Zero GX KICKS ASS!!!
I don't see a saturation, I see alot of quality titles that I have no time (or money) to play.

This thread is a little bit silly. There are a lot of racing games out there, but the same could be said about any genre you mention. The problem isn't in the saturation of the market with racing games, it's that you're playing too much too quickly.
