Thread: The Year You Make It

  1. My car is still working and I'm employed, which is good regardless of how bad my job sucks. My life has been kind've "boring" but I guess it's alright. Been investing a lot of my time into making music with two of my musical projects which has been good for channeling energy into positive works.

I might go back into the Marine Corp in a few months, I'm still completely unsure but it's definately a possible option for my life.

  2. I bought a lottery ticket I haven't checked yet.

I'm coasting along at the moment. Better now than later I guess.

  3. Finishing up my junior year at Syracuse University.

Accomplished nothing in my goals of furthuring my 3d animation experience this semester due to limitations in Lightwave 3d which prevented me from finishing an animation I was working on.

Finally learned how to program in Flash using actionscripting, and it's all sorts of fun. I need to get better though.

I finally turned 21 on May 2nd, and have gotten way too drunk since then.

Got an internship with a graphic design firm for the summer in Cleveland (where I'm from).

I need to create a new website for myself this summer so I can show off the work I've done. Also so it can help me get some sort of job out of college. The site will be fully flash oriented, and it's going to be badass when finished.

Once I get back from school I'm going to start going to the gym. I havn't worked out since my Junior year of high school when I was a swimmer, and it's about damn time I do.

  4. I'm probably going to be moving into my first apartment sometime next week, and getting a job either answering telephones, or at GameStop in the mall. My grades are As and Bs, except for one class I have a C in (I'm gonna have to beg him to let me do some kind of makeup assignment). My old man pretty much disowned me tonight, too. God kicks ass, though, and I know I'll be alright.

  5. Blah starting 2 new jobs this week and got a new to me car last month and the insurance payment is due today. I'm shitting bricks since it's due today and I don't have the money yet. Can't wait to blow my first paychecks on a new insurance down payment. *sigh*

I think I'm going back to school myself and get that over with. COngrat to the graduates.

I started going to the gym again... and again, first time since about 2002.

I'm doing pretty good. It really feels like I completely wasted about 3 years of my life when I walked away from college, but at least I can still easily pass as an 18 year old.
I know exactly what you're talking about. Good luck!

My G35 hasn't been built yet.

Other than that, I can't complain about how things are going for me. Just finished the second revision of my site and am very pleased with it. I can't wait to add more crap to it that nobody will look at.

  8. I'm waiting for someone to tell me what the hell I've been doing.
    o_O

  9. drinking?

  10. I finally moved back out of my parents' house earlier this year, I have an awesome roommate, and because of him I've finally regained a bit of a social life. The apartment is awesome, 2 floors and I've got a huge bedroom that looks great. I've got a good, albeit boring, job that has enabled me to build up a good bit of money reserves. I bought a nice new 32" WEGA TV last month.

On the downside, I've not hit any of my goals concerning my art, although I at least sketch a bit more frequently than I used to.
