Because the original is a lot better than the sequel. I prefered the 1 on 1 to the multiplayer by far. The stages in 2 were all kinda "meh", too many shitty characters (a chef?). It seemed to lose it's focus.Originally Posted by TobalRox
I'd buy a next gen Powerstone 3 that returns the series to it's roots in a second. Insane amount of potential.
Powerstone 1 on 1 is not what it was all about to me... to me, it was about having a sick 4 player fighting game... there are enough 1 on 1 games. I didn't mind the characters, because it was just fun to play. When you have 3 other friends playing, you can get a good laugh that someone is "that lame chef" because we aren't taking it seriously, we're just kicking back and enjoying some fun party games.Originally Posted by Rumpy
I'd buy a Powerstone for the 360 even if it was just Powerstone 2 in HD, but I'm hoping they come with a true sequel.

What does that have to do with having more quality properties?Originally Posted by StriderKyo

I hated PowerStone 2 because everything that made the original fantastic was dumbed down or removed.
The stages where no longer arenas but levels... and poor levels at that.
Remember the stage with the air battle ships? Could it have been any more confusing then that pile of shit?
The only good stages in PowerStone 2, as far as I'm concerned, are the hidden multiplayer stages that were things like generic blocks with poles (And those stages were actually arenas, too).
PowerStone was much deeper than Power Stone 2 (And much deeper than I think most people give it credit for). You could dodge attacks, bounce off walls, string together combos, over take your enemies while in fusion mode... and I know that's the tip of the iceberg, but it's been a while since Mzo and I busted out the Dreamcast and had a few matches of that going on.
On a side note, this thread has become majorly untracked, hasn't it?
Eh, there isn't much else to talk about until the system launches, and then, we'll just have separate threads for each gameOriginally Posted by Geen
Anyway, I guess I just never got to play the original Powerstone enough, because I played 2 a ton and I loved it. I had no problems with the airship stage. When I played Kung Fu Chaos on Xbox, it had that same feel, so I enjoyed that (although not as much).
To bring it back to Xbox 360.... here's to hoping for a sequel on the 360 so we can play each other on Live, download the original arena levels, and play it in 720p![]()

I'm still not to sure about this system, I guess I have to wait and see.
I'm already sold on 360 (Really, my life and free time is going to decide if I get one at launch or not at this point), so a new PowerStone on live would totally rock.Originally Posted by TobalRox
On to new 360 topics, has anyone heard any details about Final Fantasy XI on 360? I've been really craving to play this again on the PC and would like to pick up the 360 build when it comes out, but is it going to be the same servers as the PC/PS2 version or is it going to be a different seperate server that is only for Xbox360 players?
isn't a new shadowrun supposedly in the works for a next-gen console?
look here, upon a sig graveyard.
