I don't like the lack of first party stuff. MGS games are some of the best on the system.

All this is saying is that there won't be anymore games for Xbox... meaning the system that is not the 360. There will be first party games for the 360. And MGS only had one release on Xbox, and it's not first party.Originally Posted by Jeremy
The rest of that stuff wasn;t really new except for the number of games (although one could argue that you could have just counted yourself).

Ah, I missed that it was just referring to the Xbox. Whew.

I predict Sony to show more BS game trailers like Killzone in the future to kill 360 hype.

Doesn't have to be BS - I'm predicting PS3 GTA screenshots to steal the 360's launch thunder. They probably don't have to do much more, although an exclusive Final Fantasy XIII announcement would seal the deal.
In other news, MS' big "here's our good Japanese games" conference is on July 25th, and it's suposed to chock full o' MEGATON announcements. The big rumours are Virtua Fighter - which is a no-brainer since they showed it in their E3 trailer - Shenmue III and Ridge Racer. Square may or may not have something big to announce as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they've got.
I'm also really hoping there won't be launch shortages - because I haven't even preordered yet, and people are saying EBs will only be getting 30-50 units, and are already telling anyone preordering they won't get a system until the second or third shipment.

I doubt this, since NONE of the GTA games have good graphics. The games sell on gameplay. And with the Ps3 being harder to program for than the 360, yeah, next-gen GTA will also look bad compared to other games on the system.Originally Posted by StriderKyo

The GTA games look bad for PS2 because theyre trying to do so much - throw around a full city in 3D, with real vehicle flow, pedestrians, etc. There's a lot of stuff going on and the system cant handle it.
If you look at the games that creaked on the PSX, Saturn, or N64, youd see that the next gen systems allowed them to breathe and live up to their potential.
No reason why this wont happen again. GTA will look spectacular on 360 or PS3.
I don't care if it looks exactly the same, as long as more than 5 types of cars can drive by and not the same 4 over and over until a new one is loaded into memory.
We shall see. (Who am I kidding, day one GTA purchase, as per usual)
Meh...I have to say that I'm over GTA...unless they do something DRASTICLY different....
