Yeah...it was more of a cleaned up port with 480p...

Most games I see that are multi-platform look much better on Xbox to me, esp. since they usually have at least progressive scan.

This makes more sense to me.

You missed his whole point. An SNES version of a given game may be more colorful than a Genesis version, but it is a very, very minor difference when compared to a Saturn 2D game. That is what he was getting at. Quit staring at a fucking tree and notice the forest.

I got the point that you present, and I still stand by what I said. Maybe my wording is off and I got a little sidetracked, but I think the bottom line is that I feel that Rockstar North may be given more power, but they may not use it to make it look that much better than the Xbox ports because they aren't highly graphical programers. Anyway, as I said, I don't care about the graphics in these games.

It'll never happen. Remember the delays on Morrowind?

  7. Bethesda still make games that are completely full of bugs? That's why I could never get into their games... they were always delayed forever and still full of so many bugs (on PC)... things any better for consoles? No, i'm not trolling, I think Oblivion could be awesome... but I'm asking a legit question since I haven't paid attention to the company in years.

  8. Pirates of the Caribbean was chock full of bugs, from what I remember, some said worse than Morrowind. I never had any problems with bugs in Morrowind, other than the occasional lockup. They did a humdinger of a job on the GOTY Xbox edition. They fixed a ton of little problems, I had a lock up maybe 5 times during the whole game (100+ hours of gameplay), and the dirty disc problem was improved. Best thing about the dirty disc error is that they were able to sense it coming, and auto-saved the game for you. Then, the game would kick you back to the main menu and you could load that auto-save. Sure, you were out a minute or two of time waiting for the game to load, but it beat losing ALL progress since your last save.

For a game like Morrowind, I can't fault Bethesda for the bugs too much. When you have so many damned persistent objects in the world, and such a huge world at that, it's a massive undertaking to find and squash every bug. They're supposed to be beefing up their test staff for Oblivion though. We'll see how it goes.

That is like saying "I never got mugged while I lived there, other than occasionally getting stabbed."

You do realize lockups, hangs, crashes etc. etc. are the worst kinds of bugs right?

  10. My favorite Morrowind bug was falling through the floor and then reappearing where I was before, it was like the game was just trying to mess with my mind. (And better then when I fell through the floor in WoW which just killed me because of the huge fall and made my body unreachable.)
