Yes you can. Ive logged many an hours with S on my friends' Xboxii. The S was designed for Japanese people and little kids, who are all weak and puny. Im surprised the Duke is still legal in England because it could be used to bludgeon someone to death.

The D-Pad on the S is just so superior. I just can't stand the Duke's D-Pad.

I set my XBL password as down, left, up, right, just to make sure the D-pad always works.

The Controller S D-pad works really well on the stuff that I use it for, like FBA and MAME. It really doesn't matter whether it's Duke or S, either Xbox controller is better than anything else out there.

I waited until the S was available before I got my Xbox.... my friends wouldn't even touch an xbox until that controller was available for multiplayer. The original controller sucked. It's the only controller I've seriously disliked since the Jaguar.
