You'll have to wait till 9/9/09 for the NEW anti pop consortium album to come out on Big Dada. But alas, my raging itching sunburn has calmed a bit and I have a smirnoff so I'll see if I can fill the gap in between.

He has only one album under his belt (out on chocolate industries) and loads of guest apperances on other peoples stuff. But he hangs with an off beat crowd like Prefuse 73 and RJD2.

    Here have a sampling

Like? Here have some random collaborations he's done with other peoples albums all compiled into a nice like compressed file. Producers ranging from Prefuse 73 (Plastic, I love this track) to madlib (beyond me)

Oh want more huh? How bout some crazy french guys laying out some crazy beats, glitchy rhymes. I kinda dig this MC Tes who has worked with all sorts of random folks like Funkstorung(RIP). Not too hot on tes when he's by himself, but with some quirky people he's better.

Maybe you're looking for some of them spaced out left O center beats. Then Darbrye should be who your looking for. He mostly works solo and instrumental, but has various guest MC's over tracks. It's been awhile since he put out an album, but he's been busy on the 12" front with a new split out with Mike Slott.

And as always I'll leave yall with a DJ mix. I've been banging this for about 2 weeks now and can't get enough. It's all over the place with glitchy hip hop, chip hop type stuff, loads of acapellas on top and just fist pumping action.

p.s if yall liked that Dr.no. Yall might like gaslamp killer. He does some weird hybrid of Psych rock/hip hop beats...hard to explain. But I have some mixtapes of his and they are all over the place and banging. Plus he runs with Flying Lotus and crew. Want em? Let me know.

Listened to it again today. Love it. One of my best impulse buys.
What a horrible buying experience. First the downloads all hung, then they all downloaded and processed finally after 18 hours of fiddling, and 4 tracks (including Heavy) are corrupt and don't play on my ipod. Haven't tried re-syncing yet because I went on a goddamn road trip and didn't realize it until I was an hour in to the trip.

    Yes please!

  4. The Gaslamp Killer sign, seals, and delivers installment number 5 of our We Make It Good Mix series. Made up of weird world psych, hip hop and grunge chopped up seamlessly and then perfectly adhesed to a tough as nails skeleton of chest thumping kick drums, machine gun snares, and deafening bass drops; this is quite different from what we have put out thus far and could only come from the deeply murky mental environs of San Diego’s mostly cloudy turntable destroyer.

I burned both these mixes to one cd and bang em in my car. Welcome to the world of psychdelics, grunge, dirty south, dubstep, hip hop, gettting down and serial killing. One minute your pumping your fist to clanging break beats then in an acid flashback of paranoia only to come out into a dirty south club.

    paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!

  5. THANKS!

I guess nobody cares about Busdriver? Ama throw up his new album along with new Westbound Train and the DJ from this Bus album, Nosaj Thing's ep, on the usual place.

Nosaj Thing played a killer live set but his ep is pretty subdued, and so are the beats on this album.

  8. I seen busdriver on his last tour and daedelus opened up. Speaking of daedaleus, his remix of "kill your employer" is top notch.

Also, new mos def out this month with production from madlib, oh no(madlib's brother) and j dilla(dilla making beats from the grave!)

And with that I think I shall dissappear once again and dive back into new dj mixes and production.

    daedelus is fucking fantastic.

There is so much fucking music out this year I am so far behind. So far it has destroyed 2008.
