  1. King of Fighters Maximum Impact Maniax (Xbox) & More SNK Ports

    http://www.snkneogeousaconsumer.com/game_kofmx.php
    New Xbox Features:

    * Supports full Xbox Live featuring Head-to-Head fighting and Tournament Mode
    * New Re-Match mode on Xbox Live allows you to instantaneously battle your opponent again and again.
    * Stop action camera - Pause the action and take pictures of your favorite characters in full 360 degrees.
    * Choose between English or Japanese voice-over languages
    * Review the moves and voices of your favorite character in the exclusive new Profile mode.
Well, I guess it WAS Sony shitting on them with that English voice garbage.

I just read this Gamespot article a few minutes ago and was about to make a topic of my own, but it seems that you have saved me the trouble:

The good news for fans of the series is that, based on the company's fact sheet for the GBA game, it doesn't look like SNK Playmore is planning to make any major changes to the arcade original. The information that we have on the game, then, might be considered old news. But we'll go ahead and share it with you anyway.
Metal Slug features four playable characters (Marco, Tarma, Eri, and Fio) and six action-packed levels. The game pits you against a number of over-the-top boss characters and allows you to commandeer the titular Metal Slug super vehicle in certain areas. Your sizable arsenal will include fan favorites, such as heavy machine guns and rocket launchers, and as you make your way through the nonstop levels, shooting at just about everything that moves, you'll also have to concern yourself with hostages in need of rescue.
No release date for the GBA version of Metal Slug has been announced at this time, but we'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
Once this GBA port and the Metal Slug 4 and 5 combo pack hit American store shelves, the entire MS series minus MS 2 (though that game almost seems irrelevant in light of MSX) will finally be available domestically on consoles that are less expensive and easier to find than the Neo-Geo. I suppose that means a new MS game might be in the works by next E3.

  3. The language option news is nice, and all of those Xbox and GBA ports are great news. I'm sure the NeoGeo faithful will find some world-ending flaws with them. They shouldn't be able to with the GBA ones though, since they come with a plastic bag already.

Whatever happened to that terrible-looking 3D Metal Slug game?

BZZT. It's still in development for 'unannounced' console. They had the vid of it playing at E3, but it's not worth mentioning because it was the same vid we already saw long ago.

I've beaten him without getting hit once with that crazy cowboy guy (and somewhat less than perfect with every other character). All you need to do is learn his patterns. His moves all have big startup times. Spend the first time working down his guard gauge. Break it in the second round and you'll own him for free.

  8. I wonder is which version of Samsho V is making it to the box...

I'm still dying to play Neowave too.

  9. Regular. According to SNK, SS0 Special does not exist. Was never released on the PS2 in Japan either. I'm sure it's related to the reason why the new SS is being made internally.

  10. Very interesting. I didn't know that.
