I know it sounds silly, but the point is not important to compare one to the other. The PS2 probably has more better games overall, but somebody who play games for the enjoyment of playing games, would be a fool not to own an xbox to play stuff like Halo 2 and Ninja Gaiden.

  3. Against Castlevania, 2D Mario, Mario Kart, a real Viewtiful Joe, Metroid, and Advance Wars? I rest my case.
    Yay for half-assed rehashes!

No wonder Nintendo doesnt try anymore, people eat their shit up with a spoon.

And yea, I think they will be half-assed rehashes because of prior evidence.

Besides, PSP got this shit and this shit cant be beat: http://psp.ign.com/articles/615/615880p1.html

  4. I agree with you Vid (I don't even own a handheld). Everybody loves a winner and everybody wants a clear leader to justify their fanboyism. As much as I love my Xbox this gen I can't begrudge anyone for buying a GC or PS2 (both of which I have). Bottom line is there will be plenty of games next gen for everyone on every system (except teh Revoution ) XBOX4LYFEDOG!

Who gives a fuck which is better? If both have decent games, buy both. If you're not happy with one, don't buy it. Portable PSP baseball, hot shots, tiger woods, and lumines is reason enough to have the system and be happy with it.

This juvenile system war bullshit doesn't quite match up with your age.

I already have both... I had them both on launch day. I am frankly baiting for responses from the dumbasses who said that E3 was going to be when the PSP become the greatest thing since sliced bread. So far, it's only the greatest thing since the DS.

Agreed, but there was nothing on your list I would pay $10 to play, let alone $40-50.

  8. The PSP was supposed to be an Ipod-type phenom. It clearly is not. It didn't sell nearly the amount Sony thought it would ... and the E3 buzz is miniscule. The PSP is so clearly the dominant machine .. yet the DS is still selling strong.

It's like a Playstation 1 selling against one of those novelty All-in-One controllers. Yet, its not dominating. Why?

Price point. The PSP is too expensive. The reason for it's expense is all the extra features it provides ... which people don't seem to be clamoring for.

Because they are fucking useless. I'll be honest. This E3 is making me sorry I bought a PSP. There was not a single must-have at launch, and now GTA is still the only one announced. I knew I should have trusted my initial gut feeling on this one.

You keep saying this even though its clearly not true. The PSP has sold about a million units so far according to NPD numbers, and the tie-in ratio is about 2:1. If Sony was hoping for better numbers than that then they were shooting way too high, because those are excellent for a March hardware release.

More fully, it took iPod a few years before it became the phenomenom (sic?) it is now. This holiday season was the first one it really blew up. The system trickled out and actually received its fair share of mediocre reviews at launch.
