IGN: So how powerful is the Revolution when compared to the 360 and PS3?

Shiggy: I have no idea how powerful the competitions machines are but the Revolution is incredibly weak. Also it's cheap.

IGN: Anything else you'd like to tell us about?

Not a bad interview, but it just re-establishes what I thought Nintendo was going to be doing this gen: Whatever they want, as long as it's different.

Well, as always Miyamoto seems like a very decent likeable guy but a very pointless interview. And why can't he just simply say they have moved Mario 128 to Revolution?

IGNcube: You are a producer on Metroid Prime 3 for Revolution. Can you tell us about the game?

Does that mean Retro is still making it and he is closely supervising like he did before, or is no longer in Retro's hands?

Problems and worries with their business/dev practices aside, if they can just pull it together and get Mario and Prime 3 at launch, then the Revolution can and will get a good enough foothold. If they blow it and the system has only Mario at launch or it's a year late....well that would just be crappy for us anyways is the bottom line. The thing is, does Nintendo realize they NEED to have at least TWO of their mass appeal AAA titles at launch?

Miyamoto is a brilliant game designer, and he is loyal to Nintendo to the core (and I respect him for that), so I expected him to reiterate the Nintendo mantra of innovation and great software even though their action says otherwise.

I don't think Sunshine sold as expected, and Metroid Prime 2 sure as hell didn't.

I don't think they'd be safe with the same ol' franchises... a lot less people care nowadays.
