  1. Tall Infinity - Crappy PSX Budget Puzzler or Decent PSX Budget Puzzler?

I've seen this at the computer store I work at. Looks interesting, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it, first.

  2. It's been a while since I played it, but I remember thinking it was my favorite of the PSX budget releases. It's a bit ugly, but the presentation is excellent. Essentially, you're trying to build a tower as high as you can by pushing various coloured blocks around the outer rim, matching it with other blocks so they connect and solidify. It's a very solid and clever game. It took me about two or three weeks to beat the main game, and there's also a puzzle mode which is near impossible. You need to be really patient, or a fucking clairvoyant, to accomplish all of them.

(For reference, I also liked Top Shop and that other puzzle game...Star Piece, I think it was called.)

  3. I bought and played the crap out of this game when I was in a budget releases on a dead console phase. This game is great if you can get your head around it and get good. Sadly it has nowhere near the staying power of Top Shop (which I still play), but definitely worth the $7 I got it for. This is the type of game that should be listed as one of those "forgotten gems" on Tommy Talarico's show, but instead they tell you how good GoldenEye was, or why you should check out Gladiator.

Sorry about the rant. Yes, this game rules. I am now making a bargain games thread.
