Does anyone know if there are any adapters out there that allow you to plug in component wires into a VGA monitor so you can get a high definition display out of it?
I know there was an adapter that was made specifically for Xbox and Dreamcast that allowed this, but is there anything that is more general?
Thanks!

$60? Ouch.
Yeah there are, but in my experience unless the system has a native VGA signal the image quality will be crap unless you shell out alot of $. Better off getting a videocard with RGB input.

VDIGI is the best. It is perfect. I would use nothing else.
This is better than the RGB videocards. That VDIGI thing is right up there with Dreamcast VGA quality.Originally Posted by StriderKyo

I have VGA cables for my Gamecube and I know there are VGA cables out there for Xbox and PS2 but with all the cables they only work if the game supports progressive scanOriginally Posted by Geen
Your best bet otherwise is to get the XRGB, that can upconvert to VGA.

But you need to buy all new cables for each system too, so it is costly.

I've got a question. my brother just got a vga adapter for the xbox. is there something we have to do to make it display in a higher resolution, like set the xbox video mode to wide screen or something? Because so far I'm not seein it. Mind you we're using a shitty 17 inch monitor, so I wont be shocked if we need a better monitor as well.
I wish I could plug my Dreamcast with VGA-box directly into my Imac G5 monitor. I so miss DC-VGA...
