It isn't as simple as prayer. Anybody can talk to the air and hope God is listening, Christian or otherwise. I on the other hand, like so many of His children, have my Father's ear at any given time because He knows my voice and makes time for me.

Far-fetched or no, God can be spoken to because He is a person, not a man, but a person. I mean who do you think Abraham, Issac, and Jacob were always talking to? Themselves?

I doubt Abraham was even a praying man. Then again He had the honor of talking with God face to face at times so why would he need to be?

So clearly these laws arent working, right? As for the "less offenses against women than in the west", what proof do you have? In the United States and Europe rapes are documented and police investigated and so forth. In the Middle East I doubt its reported or even told to the police, similar to how hate crimes in the 1950s South werent even bothered with.

This is what religious people believe and this is how religious people act about their Gods. They don't see them as cutesy Gods up in the sky. They treat them as real people, and somehow this discovery is new to you.

If it is and this is the reason why you feel the need to go ape shit on him then you must live a pretty sheltered life from religion (all religions don't consider themselves religions).
