Quick Q on BG

Hey, I just got xbox's Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2...
Hopefully somebody here can help me with something.

I haven't been playing too long, but I just entered the town of Baulder Gate, and I went into the Purple Wyrm in...my invintory is full (150/150lb.) and I can't find a vendor anywhere...

Where/how can I sell my items to get gold and make room to pick up new items??

P.S. If an armor piece for example says "you do not have enough armor proficiency to wear this item" when I try to equip it, is there a way to increase my armor, or does it just not allow my character (moon elf necromancer) to wear that specific item?
