yeah i've had sam adams here. they just opened a bostons pizza (rediculously overpriced imo) last july and whatever adams seasonal was at the time had to be the best beer i ever had. of course clean tap lines and being ice cold didn't hurt either.
New England has a ton of good beer, but I'd say Boston's probably best known for Harpoon and Sam Adams. The Boston Beer Company's tour and tasting room are supposedly a good time. I haven't gone yet, but when I get back, I probably will. Harpoon IPA is good stuff, not my favorite but it definitely hits the spot.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
I don't know if you can find the Sam Adams Boston 375 anymore, but it was exclusive to the area. More interesting as an idea than as a drink, but still kind of cool to have. Some places in the area may still have it on tap, but I'm not sure at the moment.
Local beer or not, though, there are a ton of killer places to drink. When it gets closer I'll hit up some of my favorite places and make a list of stuff to check out, if you're interested.

Last night me a few friends went down and started a fire at the pit. Suddenly all of our older college friends that were home for the weekend showed up - bitches and all. There were maybe 35 people there, and then my friends started calling me saying they saw 3 sheriffs at the entrance of the woods. Pretty soon there was a helicopter spotlight us and so I had to stagged out the back way. I had maybe 10 or 12 beers in me at the point, so I couldn't run 5 feet without falling.
Somehow we made it out and ran to a nearby friend's house and crashed for a few hours. It was good times, but I hurt in random places.
Just got back from my friend's dorm room. Only about 10 or so of us were there so it wasn't a big deal. One friend got totally sick after a few shots and barfed all over the place. It pretty much ended the party. I hate weak drinkers trying to drink big.
A rarity with draft beer unfortunately.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
really? I get more cold beer on tap than not. With the clean thing you gotta cross your fingers though.Originally Posted by Mykozo
So the last week when I went out for Fat Tuesday I realized that I had a physical weakness to cheap shitty beer. I bought one of those huge 84 ounce plastic-piggy-bank bottles of beer (they were cheaper than pitchers, and I was broke so yeah) It was PBR. After drinking about 3/4 of it my stomach started to hurt, and I started getting nauseated. That's the only time that happens is when I drink that or Natty Light. I just physically feel like shit.
Do any of you guys drink the cheap stuff regularly or what?If I'm mellowing out with some beer though, from now on I just stick to the Killians or Yengling, methinks.
I'm a big fan of PBR and I've never gotten sick drinking it. Of course I only ingest the stuff on weekends while watching some premium schlock movies at home. Maybe watching trash counteracts the beer. I dunno.
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."
Never made me sick either. If we're gonna drink cheap beer, PBR is always the way to go. Idiots keep insisting on buying Natty or Key. They can go fuck themselves. Sure, none of it's Chimay, but PBR actually tastes like beer, and it's got that over the rest of the cheaper trash.Originally Posted by Revoltor
Nothing wrong with sticking with Yuengling though! I never seem to see it in New England, so when I'm back in PA I always make sure to put a few back.
i absolutely cannot stomache Rolling Rock. seriously the only beer i've ever had that made me vomit from not being drunk. i've had it before but the last time i did i had two bottles in a 3 hour period. on my way home i pulle dover on the interstate to puke......a LOT. and no there weren't any possibilites of something else causing it since i didnt eat or have anything else.
my bro drinks Yuengling a lot. i've been enjoying red Stripe lately myself. tho the taste of beer must leave me for the next 9 months.
At college it was Natty Light. Man that shit is cheap. Nothing quite like alcholic water (Natty Ice will take down anyone too, way stronger than it should be).Originally Posted by Jetman
I'm a fan of Michelob (most of their brews), Ying Ling and Corona now. I liked Red Stripe for about a week, but it tastes like shit after just a few. I've been meaning to try Becks for awhile now.
