if you have any other questions, feel free to pm me and ask. it's usually just a combination of finding a cap program that works with your specific emu, then just working it thourgh virtualdub and a gif animator to finalize.

Man those were the days, now we're bombarded with a bunch of lame cg clips that you can't even skip half the time.

Nah, there's an easier way. Over at NESvideos, one of the coder ninjas on the forums created a hacked version of Gens to be used for tool-assisted speedruns and the like. The latest version (9c), includes frame-advance.Originally Posted by MrWhitefolks
All you need to do is pause the emulator at the boot-up screen, and snapshot/frame-advance until you have the whole thing. The resulting gifs should be nice and smooth since you're getting all 50/60 frames per second.
Link to the thread with the download.
nice, frame advance is the win, but unless the resolution is low; you're gonna have to cut a good 1/2 of them out anyways due to file size issues(anything with pure motion[ie...not static anything in the background] and over 60frames of animtaion at 320x240 usually equals around 600-800kb depending on the optimization/color palatte)
