This is kind of fun.

Press the Buttons has a post about an independently created Mario game which combines elements of Super Mario World and Super Mario Sunshine to create a great 2D gaming experience.
From the post: "Equipped with the FLUDD water pack, Mario must collect pieces of a warp pipe, assemble them, and then exterminate the Piranha Plant living inside. FLUDD functions as both a jetpack and a weapon, and when the water supply runs dry Mario must get a refill at the local water hole."![]()

Here's the URL for the game. Get it before the Nintendo lawyers demand its removal.

I think I remember playing this a year or two ago because of another thread here.. Nintendo hasn't shut it down yet, so he might be in the clear.
Anyway, decent game.. Wish the levels actually scrolled.
Nintendo hasn't shut this down, but shuts down the 2D Ocarina of Time project? WTF?
Hey, it's a 2D mario, I'll play it for sure.

For serious, that project was looking good too. This is just a decent mini game distraction.Originally Posted by Zerodash

Yeah I saw this a year or so ago, great game, and I'm glad it was brought up again since I'm now on a new computer and I had forgotten about it.
There was also another really great fan-made Mario game...one where you actually went through levels...can't remember what it was called.
It was ace though.![]()

Mario Forever? Hells yeah. The controlling was horrible, though. Mario is not meant to be played on a keyboard.
