It's true, Insane isn't all that hard. I can see it being very challenging if you are playing by yourself with retarded Baird, Cole, and Dom AI helping you out, but when you have a smart teammate it just takes a little strategy and beating as many guys as they throw at you really isn't a problem.
The one part I can see being a lot harder is when you're defending the Fenix Mansion, but besides that, it seems Insane just isn't as insane as they make it out to be.

I also forgot to mention, the last chapter on the train, is the most beautiful fucking part of any game ever.

Yeah, Insane is certainly no Legendary, but when you have two smart teammates who can revive the other, it's no wonder it's a little easier.
Nonetheless, I had a great time beating the game with Cap and look forward to future next-gen games that offer online co-op. In the meantime, I'm going to try to beat the game on Insane by myself and, of course, play the game on multiplayer whenever I can.
Solo ranked matches suck. You might have teammates who don't communicate and as soon as the match ends, you're kicked out. I really hope that they add Team Ranked matches later. Also, they need to allow the host to change the game type and map without having to quit the session.
Don't forget, today's the only day you can download a Gears of War gamer pic and theme for free, as well as get a video message from CliffyB and the Gamestop gameplay footage from the GoW preview a few weeks back.

So with the reviving, is it like GRAW, where your revived team mate only gets a slither of health? or do they get it all back?
I saw the trailer for this at the movies on saturday. I nearly came on the people infront of me, and behind me with anticipation.
I have decided this game is a blessing and a curse.
It's a blessing because it kicks SO much ass...it's a curse because it kicks TOO much ass. If the game isn't arcade-style, I find myself saying, "Why am I not playing GoW?" The other games you're detached from the game world. And for an arcade game it's OK. You always are. Now, I want to play Chaos Theory (haven't played that one yet) but I can't. I just know that half the time I'd be thinking of how silly this seems.

Is it me, or is the online modes pretty much down to using your gunfire to keep people covered, while a teammate attempts a 1 shot melee kill via the saw/grenade? Granted, this was the first time I've been online with the title but it seemed really apparent that nobody actually likes to use their gun to kill someone(unless it has some 'insta-kill' effect ala the Bow/Grenade Launcher).

I do it because it's effective, BUT, if I'm being pinned down by a sniper, or two, I'll continue to fire at them, just to keep their attention while a team mate will come up from behind and VROOOOOOM SLIIIIIICE.
So yeah, the game lends itself to it.
