Does anyone have any sales numbers yet for GOW? I'm just curious how well it has done.
lol yeah, it was good. Sorry about my retarded friends and their sophisticated humour.

Worldwide, it's already over a million sold. Microsoft issued a press release on it a few days ago.
I played this with my buddy a couple of days ago and I am positively tickled pink that I'm probably receiving this as a gift for Christmas. It was balls to the wall action with some tactile strategy layered on top for good measure and I'm stoked. The part with the big blind creature was rad too.
We almost had him out the door when I freaked and took off. It curb stomped my ass after a massive Vader attack.
I honestly don't see what fundamental necessity jump would serve in a game like Gears of War. The entire game is about ducking and covering and decoy tactics while the best on the team does his thing. If they put a jump button in for no reason 10 bucks says I'd accidentally be pressing it and getting my head blown off.
Keep gameplay elements to the bare essentials and your game is better for it. The only game that doesn't have jump that I think could benefit from its implementation is the Zelda series, but a lot of that game is about puzzles so I understand the reason they don't do it.
The first time it ran at me I panicked and pressed the stick the wrong way while diving, subsequentally charging in to it when I dove. It rhino'd my ass. It's really not that hard to beat if you just have a little bit of patience.
When I played it the difficulty was one up from normal. It was a challenge but definitely not the "HOLY SHIT BATMAN THIS IS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE!" some people seem to make it out to be.

The last battle is a pain in the ass playing single player. Tough mother fucker.
Just get someone to play with you, a million people have this game.
My friend John and I are going through Insane right now, it doesn't seem all that hard.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
