Thread: SSX On Tour

  1. It's a quick demo. The presentation is pretty wild and you have the choice of going down one small course on either skis or snowboard. It's SSX, so fans have a lot to look foward to, but aside from trying out the skis, I didn't notice any of the other upgrades. The whole "one huge streaming mountain" couldn't be seen because you can only pick one course. It does show the overall map though, which looks like it has a lot of courses spread out through the 3 peaks of the mountain. I got the PS2 demo and I thought it looked a little rough...jaggy even.

I'm going to get the xbox version for sure though.

  2. Yeah you pretty much said everything I was going to Rumpy, even with the Xbox comment, because I also have the PS2 demo.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  3. So you got the same vibe from the graphics too? Like washed out looking?

  4. Dammit, I was hoping all 3 versions would look pretty similar from each other...Did anyone on TNL play more than one copy of SSX3? I bought mine on the Gamecube and was pretty satisfied. Did the Xbox one really look that better, I know it's not always the case depending on how long devs work on each one.

The fact that the PS2 is getting SSX4 on the 24th of October and the Xbox is on the 14th of November makes me sad.

  5. I bought the cube version too, when I tried out the xbox version, the only thing I really noticed was that the snow glittered a little more. The differences were so small they really didn't matter.

    Now that is some bullshit.

That and it looks pretty jaggy. I also have SSX 3 and Tricky on the Cube...and those games actually look a little better. I guess I'm going to have to hold off until the Xbox/Cube version hits because I just don't think I would be happy with the PS2 version.

And yeah, that sucks that the PS2 gets it first.

Yeah, but between the PS2 with it's jaggy...ness, and the Cube with it's stupid inflated Mario characters on snowboards, I'm sure to go with the Xbox rev. If my patience allows it.

    Word.

  8. Fer sure dude.

  9. Anyone know what the song is that plays during the intro?

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  10. It came out early for all systems! Gamespot gave it a 8.6. I haven't played enough to make any meaningful commentary. But, I have the xbox version and it definatly looks cleaner than the PS2 demo.
