There are some decent places in our area, just not Medina. Cleveland has a slew of theaters, science centers, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an IMAX screen, tons of concerts at the outdoor and indoor places... And some good food. You just have to shift through shitty traffic, dangerous parts of town and terrible road layouts to find any of it. There's also the Powerhouse Arcade, which used to be two floors of awesome and is now kind of... 'meh', but still alright.

Less than two hours away we have Cedar Point, which speaks for itself. Go rollercoasters.

Similarly, Geauga Lake amusement and water park somewhat nearby is very nice. They just redid the water park with a bunch of nice stuff, and the park itself has some great coasters without the long lines and lameness of Cedar Point. You can ride the same coaster three times in an hour, unlike once at Cedar Point. Cheaper, too.

the first thing you need to do is go to the car place and upgrade your security system. Then go to Carrboro and after eating at Carrburrito, grab a beer at the Reservoir or Hell, before heading to the Cats Cradle, or the Hillsborough St. Coop.
When in Wilmington, other than the beach... check out Lula's and the Blue Post. If you can find a way, try to get into the network of underground tunnels that run beneath the city. Also know that you are walking on the same bricks that were once tread by all of the great pirates of old. You can also check out the battleship- it is haunted, or you can just go here-

The best crack in town is also available on the corner 2 blocks up from my place!

Spring and fall are totally okay, and pleasant, and many parts are scenic. But spend a few months in SoCal, say November to February, and youll quickly realize that "having all four seasons" aint that big a deal.

Dirt and Smell depend on where you are. If you're on the turnpike, absolutely.
I live in Morris County, a pretty nice area and one of the richest in the country. But its boring, and too far from the fun parts. The bars around here are cheap but filled with white trash. So you either get dirt and smell or clean and boring. Yea the transit system is decent but its still kinda expensive and takes a long time.

And yeah, it's too damn expensive.
It costs the same to live in NJ as it does to live in Southern California's good parts. Especially if you live in New Jersey's singular good place, Hoboken near Washington Street. The prices there are the same as West LA.

Ok, I see why you hate jersey, there's still a lot of good shit here. Like pizza, and bagels.
Pizza's good, yea. Not a big bagel fan. I mean its kinda cool being not far from so many places (NYC, Philadelphia), but you know a place is lacking when the best thing about it is its close proximity to other places.

My biggest problem with Jersey mostly has to do with the people living here..but I think I'd have a similar problem no matter where I lived.

When I moved up here, I wanted to make sure I wasn't one of those folks who lived around the corner from our nation's capitol and never went to it.
I've been to DC a few times. I went to the 9:30 Club and The Nation, both of which are in the grimier part of town (K and M Street, if I recall correctly). First time was for an Interpol concert (not my kinda music, but hey...), and second was for a Deftones concert (awesome show), respectively. I hate DC traffic.

  6. In Dallas, we have many cool places to see.

In Grapevine, you can go to Gameworks in the Grapevine Mills Mall.

If you want to see a movie in DLP, you can go to Cinemark Theater at Legacy and 75. They have 2 DLP screens.

Looking for a great view of the Dallas skyline. The Reunion tower provides a great view of the surrounding Dallas area, with a restaraunt and lounge that rotates 360 degrees within an hour.

You can visit the Southfork Ranch (Known as the Ewing Ranch, from the television show Dallas) in nearby Plano/Murphy.

For a great Tex-Mex meal, Uncle Julios offers some of the best in the area.

I disagree, which is why it moved from LA to Philly.

You need about $1000-$1500/month to live in a good plce in NJ/Philly, same price as the cheaper places in Los Angeles/Southern California. The expensive places in Los Angeles, like on the water, are closer to NYC prices, $2000-$3000+.

  9. LOL Dallas

I was dragged their some years ago and I remember Southfork ranch, it was unimpressive for the most part, everything cool was roped off at least.
