I forget where you live.
That's not true. I've done the DSotM/WoO thing a few times without doing a bunch of research first, and here's what I remember:Originally Posted by NApOLm321
1) yes, the bells with the Witch on her bike, in fact you can hear her bike squeaking and creaking as she rides up, then rings her bell and the bells go off, then her footsteps when she gets off her bike and walks in the gate of the house
2) the argument between the witch and Dorothy's Uncle are set to that noisy non-musical piece and timing changes and whatnot coincide with camera changes and who is talking/yelling
2) the lyrics when dorothy falls into the pig sty
3) when dorothy looks up at the sky at the end of Somewhere Over The Rainbow
4) the whole twister scene is set to The Great Gig In The Sky and perfectly timed
5) the only break on the album (meaning, the only time there is silence on the album, otherwise everything is run together) is at the end of The Great Gig In The Sky, at that moment, dorothy goes and opens the door of her house after it lands on the ground in Oz, as soon as she opens the door and everything is in color, the money register chings go off
6) Money is set to the Munchkins dance and is perfectly timed
7) Us And Them's lyrics coincide with and the different Munchkin groups coming in to do their songs (Lullaby League and Lollipop Guild) and Glenda's speech and then her floating off in her pink sphere
8) Any Colour You Like coinicides with Dorothy picking which path to take ("Follow the Yellow Brick Road, follow the Yellow Brick Road")
9) Brain Damage coincides with meeting the Scarecrow and is timed with the scene and the lyrics about "the lunatic on the grass" blah blah blah
10) When Dorothy hits the Tin Man's chest and her and the Scarecrow stop to listen, the end heartbeat of DSotM starts
And I was sober. Some of the stuff freaked me out a little and gave me chills. I'm sure some of that was out of order or misstated, but I'd have to listen to the album again to tell you more correctly, because every time I listen to it now, I know exactly what's going on in Wizard of Oz at those precise moments.

You are living in a world of make believe. Most instances of any matchups would be an exageration just to call them coicidences. It was filled with stupid things like a sign that reads 'past present and future' during a song called time.Originally Posted by Scourge
On the other hand you may be right, but I was severly unimpressed (or oblivious). I might have to try it again sober. Did you start the album on the 3rd lion roar?
You have to start the album after the MGM lion, when the first reel of the movie starts proper. You can discount it all you want, I actually did this because my dad had heard about it and was curious if it worked and I'd never done it so we did it a couple of times to see and we both saw and heard all the same stuff and thought it was really cool.Originally Posted by NApOLm321
