X5 was a tremendous piece of shit, bad localization is just the rancid icing on the cake. It's probably the most disappointed I've ever been with a videogame purchase.

I've got the PS2 X Collection, I guess I can finally play it now that I have a CRT screen again! /my HDTV craps out on 240p stuff.
I think the combo of X3 on SNES followed by renting the PS1 version and being not very impressed put me off of the series at the time.
X3 was meh, X4 is one of the best games ever. Play it.
