Thread: Assistance Needed in Finding the Origins of IP Addresses.

  1. Assistance Needed in Finding the Origins of IP Addresses.

Recently, someone has been leaving unsightly anonymous comments on my LiveJournal, but it sounds as if the person knows me. The IPs used were 24.184.102.12 and 24.185.223.144. Being that there are two IPs, I'm just hoping the person wasn't using dial-up, 'cause that'd be difficult to track.
Anyways, is it possible to find out the origins of these messages?

You want reverse DNS lookup for a hostname, IPWHOIS lookup for location, amongst other less useful information.

  3. I have had that problem before i made mine friends Only.. Is there anyway to actually get a name of the person, Like whos name the internet subscription is under? or something like that?
You can never be one of the dead, because something that has no existence can have no community.

  4. Not without contacting the provider. Almost any provider will laugh at you for bothering them on something so trivial.

  5. Yeah, honestly I don't fucking care anymore. It's just odd that someone near me is leaving these comments.
