YES!

Ubi Soft's main draw on the floor was Rayman 3, which was playable for both the PS2 and GC. After getting some hands-on fun with the GameCube rev, there was mixed emotion. On one hand, the game is very solid visually, plays like a charm, and most importantly...Rayman has his hand attacks going on again! No more beams and silly stuff! Just pure hand action!

I'll give you a sec for the obligatory joke.

On the other hand though, the style from 2 to 3 isn't really changed. After seeing 1 to 2 being so drastic, it makes Rayman 3 feel like an expansion in style as opposed to a total overhaul. Even though I'm a total fan of Rayman 2 it would've been interesting to see Ubi Soft go out on a limb with 3, but it's nothing to lose sleep over.

Currently the GC version is further behind in development than the PS2 rev, with the former at 40-50% and the latter at 80-90% complete. Seems that Ubi Soft really wants to make Rayman 3 unique to the console it's on, because they want to develop around the specific hardware perks of each. Plus there's talk about GBA connectivity for the GC version.

More info as it comes, plus...total Ubi Soft coverage!
