Thread: Trace Memory

    Trace Memory

This DS point and click adventure(AKA Another Code) is now out in Europe and Australia. North America has to wait a couple months. I'm hoping someone here bought it and can give impressions.

There are a few reviews out there - http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...ds/anothercode but I'm skeptical when games of this genre are reviewed.

  2. Yeah, I'll buy this regardless of any reviews (so I won't read them and ruin some of the surprise) because I love the genre. I also feel the need to support it since a game like this would almost certainly have stayed in Japan if the DS wasn't in such desperate need of new software.

  3. Adventure fans seem to enjoy it, but then again I think they tend to overrate adventure games in general (if it doesn't outright suck, it's great), so who knows.

  4. I'm definitely looking forward to this. It's not my prefered style of the genre (I much prefer the Tim Schafer brand of point and click adventure games to the Myst/Syberia style), but I hope it turns out good either way.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  5. Wait, it's in English? IMPORT GET!

  6. Wow, sounds good. This is the first I'm hearing of this, thanks.

  7. Never really looked at this game 'til now. Just watched some videos and it actually looks pretty interesting.

  8. I've been looking forward to this game. I'm sure it'll be great if it doesn't suck.

  9. This is a statement I can get behind.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  10. It is more an interactive novel than a game.

It is really too easy, I don't think a puzzle posed took me more than a few seconds to know what I had to do (the only one I could have had a problem I was spoiled by a review ...) and I usually suck at those games. The puzzles make good use of the DS capabilities though. And it is really short, I finished it in a little more than 4 hours.
