Tried Gaming Discussion in Thunderbird but error msg. said it wasn't a valid feed.
Just a minor correction on how to get feeds for specific threads.
TNL - Gaming Forum RSS Feed
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...ss2&forumids=3
TNL - Sound Off RSS Feed
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...ss2&forumids=5
TNL - Online Gaming RSS Feed
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...s2&forumids=41
TNL - Cinemania RSS Feed
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...s2&forumids=59
TNL - Artist's Block RSS Feed
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...s2&forumids=12
For the last part of the URL, it's 'forumids=X' where X is the thread number that you want to track. If you want to track more than one thread in the same feed, then separate the numbers with commas. For example, if you want to track Gaming Discussion, Sound Off, and Cinemania, then the address is
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/e...orumids=3,5,59
Thanks cka, for the head's up. This is too awesome.
Forgot to mention this, there are no RSS feeds for the Veteran's Board threads because the RSS feeds have the same priveledges as guests.

That's odd. Although I did notice that whenever TNL is having connection problems like we had yesterday, the feeds no longer work, so maybe that's what happened.Originally Posted by PBMax
Anyway, I'm disappointed at the RSS feeds because they list threads by when they were last created, not by latest post. That means that very popular threads like the Halo 2 thread in the Online Gaming forum don't show up on the feed because it was created months ago, despite being one of the latest threads to be posted on the forum.
The only way that can be fixed is by modifying TNL's vBulletin configuration page, as outlined in this thread, and only a select few in TNL can do that.
EDIT: cka, is there any way you can modify the 'external.php' file so that the feeds can show threads by latest activity instead of latest creation, or would that cause a problem?

cka fixed the TNL RSS feeds so that they are listed by latest post instead of when they were last created.
View Post #21 of this thread for instructions on setting up specific TNL RSS feeds.
