Right down the block from Amboy and Richmond, where Amboy splits into two streets, you nate.

I pay less than the self serve station on the corner down the block.

This isn't a game. This ain't the shitty gas stations by you where they charge almost 3 bucks for full serve.

Since the original question kinda got derailed, I would have to say the Nintendo World Store is an incredible waste of time. If you like a browse a packed game store, try Multimedia 1.0/St Marks Games on St. Marks Place. Also nearby is Toy Tokyo, which is a neat importish shop.

My girlfriend tipped the guy who pumped her gas the first time she came to NJ, being originally from Michigan. Such is the way that NJ people are clueless about pumping their own gas, out of state people have this whole tipping thing. Pumping your own gas is pretty easy and straightforward.

The roads in NJ suck because people in NJ are generally stupid.

  3. New York City has bars, plays, street shows, museums, a beautiful gigantic park, a lot of concerts year round, and of course landmarks. If you can't find something to do in NYC, I suggest you stop spending so much time in front of a computer screen.

Also, I've noticed about two years ago how horrible Chinatown is. I only like going there for the competition in SF but for anything else it's the last place I'd like to go.

Toy Tokyo is pretty nuts. Must visit if you're into collectables and such. Giant Robot on 9th St is a bit along these lines, though much more design stuff and shirts than straight figures. And if you follow 9th to btwn b & c (past the little park) there's a pretty cool (but expensive) clothing store called Famous Friends. If you decide to go there, keep your eyes peeled, when I was visiting the city earlier this summer my friend and I walked by it like 3 times before catching it. Um. What else. A friend of mine works at Oh! Taisho on St Marks, so I must plug. But moreso for the really good Japanese food and very lively atmosphere (esp. on weekends).

Oh, and don't forget horribly aggressive.

ps. Try not to brush against anyone who looks crazy. Friend I was staying with down there accidentally did this a few days ago, apparently, and ended up being chased for 5/6 blocks around 45th and Lexington.

New Jersey has one of the best K-12 education systems in the US (top 5, at least), and is home to many many major pharmaceutical and engineering companies, and one of the best universities in the world (Princeton). New Jersey's one of the brightest states in the country, easily.

I meant stupid in terms of lacking common sense.

  7. No, the roads suck because the state has been around forever and is very dense. There's only so much you can do when you have to build a road through a crowded residential area, and concessions need to be made.

That still doesn't make them human beings worthy of being alive. Being "smart" doesn't mean you're not a complete moron. Though to be fair I've had worse experiences with people in PA then in New Jersey.

Sure it does. To be fair, there's lots of stupid people in NJ, and a great many congregate around the sticks west of me, but Id rather live in a state with generally smart, well-educated people who contribute to society meaningfully than the Northeast's Alabama... which is the best description of PA (though I like PA).

If we fixed all the roads all the time, it would be like driving through Connecticut.
