I wish I got a response like that. I got worked up enough to type up a well researched response to one of the Hot Coffee things and spent half a work day doing it. In response I just got a random press release that he sent out about something slightly related. It did not make sense. The guy is officially retarded. The troll comparison is well warranted.

Blaming a video game for murder didn't hold up. Jack Thompson responds.

It seems not everyone agrees on a clear link between violent videogames and real-world violence. As a recent example, on Tuesday an Alabama jury convicted 20-year-old Devin Moore for the murder of three police officers, despite the defense's claim that the man's fondness for Grand Theft Auto was to blame.

According to a report on Gamasutra today, the jury convened for only an hour before rejecting Moore's pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental defect. Moore's lawyers had claimed that time spent playing Grand Theft Auto games, as well as childhood abuse, explained the murders.

Never one to miss an opportunity, staunch game critic and Florida lawyer Jack Thompson, fresh from attacking Killer 7 and, oddly enough, The Sims 2 for sexual content, filed civil suit on behalf of the victims' families. Thompson is naming Wal-Mart, GameStop, Sony, and Take-Two in the suit.

"What we're saying is that Devin Moore was, in effect, trained to do what he did. He was given a murder simulator," said Thompson.

More proof that he's a nut? Take his political campaign against Florida Attorney General Janet Reno back in 1988 (yes THAT Janet Reno), which consisted of calling her a closet lesbian who was being blackmailed by the mob. At a public debate, he actually walked up to her and handed her a piece of paper that read:
I, Janet Reno, am a
[ ] Homosexual
[ ] Bisexual
[ ] Heterosexual

and demanded that she check one of the boxes.

I just got to the the alleged "full-blown sex" in Killer 7. You don't see anything and everybody has their clothes on. I was kind of disappointed after all the hype it got. God of War has better booby action for sure!
