Sony UK is doing this because it's eating their potential PSP sales. They don't get dick if Sony Japan sells a few systems, they've got to fend for themselves. With the games being regionless, people can't even argue they're getting cut out of getting certain titles.

The problem I have with it is that it's clearly a nuisance suit designed to cost Lik Sang money. They aren't in violation of any trade agreement or copyright law, they're only circumventing Sony UK's licensing agreement. I don't believe there's ever been a succesful anti-importation lawsuit with regard to gaming.
What seems especially frivolous is that the PSP will have launched in Europe long before this actually gets to court.
