Thread: The 2nd video game crash is upon us.

  1. The 2nd video game crash is upon us.

    The 2nd video game crash
Yes, its coming. Considering MS recent stupidy, Sony's need to destroy themselves, and Nintendo's mind numbing inovation that not even the HARDEST OF THE HARDCORE understand, the 2nd crash is coming.

Brase yourselves, you know its coming too, history always repeats itself. And humans never learn. Or they do and they are content in causeing destruction.

If any of you guys have been paying attention to me since I came back to this forum (and I KNOW you have) I've been sounding like a lunatic and a prophet at the same time. Theres a reason I'm doing this folks.

I know for a fact that some of you folks are skipping out on this generation, with the slight possiblity of purchasing a Revolution. Thats cause your smart. Nintendo will survive the apokalypse and lead us into a 2nd golden age.

If you don't belive me, belive this guy http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/crash.html

You have the knowledge, please use it to your advantage.

Ill see you all after the apokalypse,
    your savior mario savior.

supermario is the absolute worst person to start this thread, because any logic he does have is lost in his mountain of blubbery bullshit, bad grammar, and misspelling. However the topic itself does warrant some discussion. A lot of the signs of a crash are there. Ironically, the company that would benefit most from a 2006 crash would be the same one that benefitted most from the 1983 crash: Nintendo. Sony and Microsoft would pack it in and run if the profit margin suddenly dried up, but Nintendo is here for the long haul, and they would emerge with an NES-style world beater.

Nobody's skipping this gen, they're just waiting for the inevitable MS-Sony price drop bloodfeud.

Gaming is going to grow massively now that games look nearly as good as Hollywood movies. Once the mainstream gets a look at PGR 3 and Killzone 2 minds will be blown, and plenty of householders who never took gaming seriously will now see it as a desirable entertainment alternative. Seriously, what's the Fantastic Four movie except an extended non-playable CG cutscene? Consoles can pretty much do all those effects now. There'll be no shortage of people lining up to drop a grand on 360 & PS3 with their attendant games & accessories come launch.

  5. I hope it does crash.

    We need a paradigm shift!
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

But...You can get a DVD player for less than $100 and most DVDs cost around $15. You can't compare games to movies. The price is too far apart.

Heh, StriderKyo's post rings true, though.

Gaming is just getting more "casual." Nothing is going to stop that.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

  10. Let it crash, all I play on the regular now is PC games.
