Thread: Ripping 32X soundtracks

  1. Ok, I acquired a copy of Acid 4.0 and recorded the song. The only problem is that it's 20 megs (1:57 long)! Is there any way to compress it?

    *Edit: Solved!

  3. Umm... Ripping 32X music is easy. Just use GENS and use the wav logging.

  4. Hehe, I just figured this out now. WAV dumping is exactly what I needed all along. I'd just convert it to an MP3, and that's all.

Well, I did learn a bit about Acid, so it's all good.

I looked at the title of this thread and thought "Why the hell would anyone want to rip 32x music?" then I saw it was by Melf, and I wondered no more.

  6. I don't remember Jacky's BGM being that different, although Sarah's was.

  7. They all were. The only 32x games with half way decent music (quality wise, not musical talent wise) were, Blackthrone, Brutal, and some of the songs in Virtua Fighter. Everything else sounded like a genesis with a few samples thrown in.

this would explain why you want the song in the first place

Tempo! Check it out, ya know! He's mega-funky and he's good to go (ho!), He's a sweet thang, catch the groove in New York LA and San Francisco!

Tempo's in the house tonight, you know he's gonna move your mind, the groove is out of sight, as funky as he wanna be... TEMPO!

I remember being amazed when I heard that.

But you can't forget Knuckles Chaotix. The best soundtrack for the 32X, IMHO. I still love some of those songs and have them in my iTunes playlist.
