First off, he didnt display the reason for his dispute. Second, he sent it back to you without you knowing and filed a complaint.
PayPal can not touch the money in your checking account. I know because I filed a complaint against a seller. Out of the $91, I was only able to obtain $66. Since the person had no money in the account, I had to have the seller personally refund me the remaining $25 (though I threatened with mail fraud).
Anyways, the bidder has no case. Keep ALL email convos you had with the buyer. HOpefully the email has a copy of the previous emails attached to them. Call up PayPal or email them. Let them know of the situation. Also, respond back to the complaint. If you dont, they'll find you at fault.
In the complaint, let them know what has happened so far such as you sending, buyer emailed complaining about problems, sent it back to you without notification and that you agreed to test it out even though you didnt know he sent it out. And that he filed a complaint although everything worked fine. Also, state that you have previous email conversations (hopefully this will show that he mailed the item before he even informed you) and that you can provide email convos to PayPal if they need them.
If you need more help, let me know. I seem to know too much about PayPal and eBay problems
You wont get hit with PayPal fees. If payment is refunded, so is the fees. Its as if you never received payment. The only fees you'll be incurred will be listing fee on eBay and shipping. If payment is refunded, you can get your ending fee refunded so you dont get hit with that as well.Originally Posted by Rich
