Indeed. It's the most out of left field ending I've ever seen. I laughed so hard it hurt.
I actually got the trilogy box set, but I haven't watched the other two yet. I know they have nothing to do with the first one and are both completely different styles, so I'm not expecting a reoccurrence of... that.

It's quite possibly the greatest movie ending I've ever seen. Decently entertaining enough on its own, but placed after like two hours of glacially paced hard-boiled cop drama/strained family relationships... it becomes a work of comedic genius.The second one is maybe okay for what it is (a terrible movie with some wierd scenes) and I love the cigarette drama scene but it's by far the weakest of the three. The third one, on the other hand, has a couple of great scenes that make it worth watching almost as much as the first and it also has the most awesomest plot of all three.I actually got the trilogy box set, but I haven't watched the other two yet.
