that takes me back. Me and college buddy used to go to every Wal-Mart in Savannah at midnight, looking for new Transformers. Airport Wal-mart, southside Wal-mart, and the secret Wal-mart, we even had a route that would loop them all together. We found two Unicrons at the secret Wal-mart and were so excited, no one had one before we did. Armada, those were the days. Back in the days of $1.50 gas running all over town was fun.

More on the Unicron reissue:

Universe Unicron is a Toys R Us Exclusive, Image Shown Not Final Product

We have received some more information on the Transformers Universe Unicron who we showed an image of (courtesy of ACToys.net) yesterday.
Toys R Us employee and 2005 Boards Member ChErikS states that:

this is a store exclusive, it is a Toys R Us exclusive. Also, this is the one that has been shown as a mock up, we don't know if the deco will be changed by the time it starts shipping but this is one is not the finished product. ...we were hoping the final product would be '86 movie acurate in deco but Hasbro has yet to enlighten us.

New Walmart Transformers Animated Listings

Courtesy of 2005 Boards Member Automaster we bring you news of more Transformers Animated toy listings that have appeared in Wal-Mart's computers! The listings back up those we had previously of a Deluxe Class Swindle, Blurr and Waspinator, plus Voyager Class Wreck Gar and Skywarp, but they also reveal the existence of two new Transformers Animated toys - in the Deluxe Class, an Arcee "Sleek Car", and in the Voyager Class Shockwave! There was also a further listing for something called "Electro Static S" which might be a part of a name of a repaint - maybe the name of the Lockdown Redeco who was shown off at Botcon? As always we will update you as soon as more news is available.

I was excited for Shockwave until I looked up the Animated version and saw just how different he is from G1... but precisely because he's so different, this shouldn't rule out a more faithful Universe Classics version.
